SiteGPT is cheaper per message at every paid tier
We are not going to bury this. At 4,000, 10,000, and 40,000 messages a month, SiteGPT’s published price is lower than WhisperChat’s — $39 against $49, $79 against $149, and $259 against $399. Anyone can verify that in two minutes by opening both pricing pages, so there is no point in presenting it any other way. What WhisperChat gives you for the difference is a free tier to start on and roughly three to thirteen times as many chatbots per plan. If you need one chatbot on one site and nothing else, SiteGPT is the better-value product on these numbers.
About these volume comparisons
Vendors count different things. A “message”, a “credit”, a “conversation”, and a “resolution” are not the same unit, and one customer question can consume several of some of them. Which is better for an agency managing several client sites?
WhisperChat, on plan shape. SiteGPT’s Scale plan at $259 a month covers 3 chatbots; WhisperChat’s Scale plan at $399 covers 40. Even the $49 WhisperChat plan covers 10. If you are deploying a chatbot per client, SiteGPT’s per-message advantage disappears against the number of separate bots you need.

Which is better for documentation-heavy sites?
SiteGPT publishes page limits — 1,000, 10,000, and 50,000 by tier — and offers automatic re-crawling on a schedule. WhisperChat publishes no page limit and does not currently offer scheduled refresh. If you have thousands of documentation pages that change regularly, SiteGPT has answered the question and we have not.
Which is better if you want to test before paying?
WhisperChat. A 7-day trial tells you whether the setup works; it does not tell you whether the chatbot deflects your real support questions over a normal month. WhisperChat’s free plan runs 150 questions a month indefinitely, which is enough to leave it live on a low-traffic site and judge it on real conversations.
Migrating between them
Because the two products work the same way, migration in either direction is straightforward and manual: re-add your website URLs, re-upload documents, and recreate any custom instructions or question-and-answer pairs.
The one thing to check before moving away from SiteGPT is whether you depend on its scheduled auto-refresh. If your site content changes weekly and SiteGPT has been re-crawling it for you, moving to WhisperChat means someone has to remember to retrain manually. That is a workflow change, not just a feature difference.
